Marvellous May: Maximising Your Monthly Motivation.

Every month 🗓️ I conscientiously craft, in detail, daily challenges for the month for any interested readers 📚to commit themselves to carrying out.

Every month I start but I don’t quite manage to achieve all of the daily challenges / actions.

However this month, the month of May, it will be different. I am committing myself to completing all of the daily Motivations, and reporting back on how it’s been. Paying particular attention to whether I feel like me carrying out those activities has had any effect on my productivity overall.

April was a pretty intense and challenging month with a few family bereavements. I feel like ‘all of that’ stagnated me (I guess organising and attending funerals will do that to you). So my hopes are that setting myself these attainable daily challenges will give me a sense of accomplishment upon completion.

Now I, like most people love a good daily task action list but, at the minute I am not ticking off many actions which isn’t great. I hate carrying over numerous tasks to the following day, especially if I’d already planned in mind what my activities should be for the following day.

April was an unproductive month for me as far as accomplishing goals is concerned. Which means i’m on the back-foot for May, playing catch up for everything I didn’t accomplish in April.

*I didn’t apply for any job roles,
*I didn’t make any extra income and;
*I didn’t even secure myself with a mock interview – sigh 😔.

But May is a new month and whilst it’s a busy one (my weekends are basically fully booked – already). My weekdays, are now fully dictated by me, no more major event planning to carry out, no more ‘watching’ how I speak to ensure I don’t offend anyone. So all I need to do is increase my productivity in my spare time this month!

It’s going to be all about me!

Whilst I listed everything I didn’t accomplish there are a few minor things I have managed to achieve those being :

*The gym: I attended on average once a week but it’s better than nothing.

*I submitted an application (I won’t say where to just yet) I’ll wait until it’s accepted or rejected.

*I completed a couple of life admin stuff that I’d had on my list for a while – to sign off by April.

It’s super important to big yourself up for the things you do accomplish, just as much, if not more than you kick yourself for the things you don’t achieve.

And I am super proud of everything I have done given how arduous the month of April was. (I mean my own mum is suggesting I go on holiday to recover) she would never usually suggest anything like that so it definitely means something.

Fingers crossed May is the month I manage to pick myself back up and dust myself off and hopefully using my own monthly challenge will assist with this.

This entry is slightly shorter than usual. However I just thought it would be worth sharing my strategy for the month of May with the hopes that it might inspire someone else who’s going through it, right now! Somebody else who feels like there life and progress has been completely derailed. It hasn’t everything will still be waiting for you, your goals, dreams and aspirations when you’re ready and I mean truly ready to go back to tackling them.

I will report back at month end – wish me luck 🍀 and let me know how you get on if you decide to partake?
